Flying High

Saturday, August 25th, 2007

It was a beautiful day out today. A little cloudy but there was enough sunlight, which made the weather cool and breezy. Perfect for flying the kites Cool Daddy just bought for the Kids. And so, off to Tanjung Aru Beach we went.

It really was a beautiful sight as the kites flew high up in the sky. The Girls enjoyed it thoroughly. Although Miss D was the one who had insisted on getting the kites in the first place, it was Miss Mel who seemed to enjoy flying them.

The person who really enjoyed it the most however, was Cool Daddy. When the children took a break from kite flying to play with sand, Daddy flew the kites higher. Now he says he doesn’t mind geting a bigger one. ;-p

The bonus sight just now was seeing someone parachute down the waters. The chute had a smiley face on it. Cute!

All in all it was quite a fun family time. ;-) )

Special Assignment

Monday, August 13th, 2007

I’ve been asked to share on the topic of the challenges of today’s Youth, specifically with postmodern faith, at Powerhouse this Saturday. I’ve titled my sharing as ‘My, Truth, Your Truth, Whose Truth’, adapted from the book of the same name.

Then on Saturday, 1st September, I was asked to share at the Girls’ Ministry, called Sista’s, on protecting oneself from emotional dangers. Work in progress. I haven’t yet got a title for that one.

Always a privilege to share with Young people. They deserve my best.

As such, Prayers greatly appreciated! ;-)

All A-Board

Thursday, August 2nd, 2007

So, I’ve discovered that life needs to have more than just Playhouse Disney Channel on Astro when the kids are home. Particularly for Miss D, who likes her dose of interactive activities lest she gets restless.

That’s when Board Games got into the picture. We got a Congkak table for the kids and we’ve been at it since we got it. Then I introduced Monopoly. Miss D liked the miniature houses and hotels and, PAPER MONEY! So, now we’re waiting for YiYi Pam to come with a Monopoly set like she promised. ;-p

I should gift-wrap Pictionary and put that under the Christmas tree this year. ;-)

Apa lagi board games yang bagus main ah?
