Anniversary

Monday, September 26th, 2005
This would be our 6th year!

We had lunch at Atlantis Cafe, Damai, after church today.

While we were eating, ‘We Could Be In Love’ by Lea Salonga & Brad Kane played on the in-house stereo.

Cool Daddy & I looked at each other and smiled.

He said, “Well what do you know! I love you Honey!”

The song was our Wedding Song.

Macam tau-tau pula!

And, we are still in love with each other..! ;-) )

Just for Daddy

Tuesday, September 20th, 2005

When the clock struck midnite of 17 September 2005, the Girls and I crept up to Daddy on the bed and broke out in unanimous chorus of “Happy Birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday to Daddy………, Happy birthday to youuu….!”

Miss D then proceeded to follow up with “How old are you now…” as they normally would at Day Care., which caused Daddy to respond, “Daddy’s OLD Sayang…”

And then Miss D prayed for Daddy something to the effect of “thank you Jesus, tomorow Daddy play guitar..” And Miss Mel started with “bless Daddy, and Mommy, and Che-che, and Spunky and Miss Mel (yes, she mentioned herself too..) and Nana and uncle Bob and Yiyi….. and EVERYBODY!”

And all of us crowded round Daddy and gave him a super slurpy kiss!

We didn’t have a cake this year… but we have each other. ;-) )

This is My Girl…

Friday, September 16th, 2005

Several nights ago, Miss D was in my room playing with her china-made barbie dolls, while I was putting Baby Spunky to sleep. A little while later as I was preparing to settle down on to my bed to read, I caught Miss D singing, in her own words, to the tune of the song ‘Still’ from the Hillsong Album, Hope.

She kept repeating the chorus, which ‘normally’ would go… “When the oceans rise and thunders roar, I will soar with you above the storm, Father You are King over the flood, I will be still and know You are God…”

I look forward to the day when she can actually understand those words… ;) )

Drive Thru

KK’s first McDonald’s Drive Thru!

Only, when we got there for breakfast on Merdeka Day we didn’t see anybody ‘drive thru’. Maybe because it was a public holiday and people weren’t up & about yet. We also found out that they actually opened on the 30th August, and not on Merdeka Day. So we missed out on the free gifts. We consoled ourselves by saying that it was probably just a pack of fries! hehe..

Nonetheless, since we pass by there everyday, and it has been a topic the kids bring up everytime we do, we promised we’d bring them there soon after it opens.

They were so excited about it, they even made getting up to get ready easy and fuss free!

We got there at about 10 am, and pleasantly surprised to find that it wasn’t as busy as we saw it the day before. They also had a dine-in, so we decided to sit in the restaurant and have our breakfast.

Here they are at the ‘new’ playground. Miss D made friends with some of the other children that were there, and even managed to nicely tell one kid off for shouting and pushing another kid. She told us so… ;-) )

Here’s the Big Breakfast!

And here’s my Littlest One enjoying the nice new chair…

After which, she promptly fell asleep throughout our time there!

On our way out, we caught the Sabah Big Bikers Group refueling at the petrol kiosk. Our guess was that they had just returned from and been a part of the Merdeka Day Parade. Miss Mel was excited to see the Malaysian flags that they carried with them cos she had heard so much about it at Day Care!

We tried the drive thru later in the week, and found them to be quite efficient. After stopping at the order & pay booth, they got our orders out in 2 minutes at the collection booth. Cool! Tapi kalau during peak hours, entahlah, traffic jam juga kali!

Anyway, it was a good family time. Looks like kalau malas masak dinner lain kali, drive thru lor… ;-p
